We’re all sisters, so I’ll be honest and straight up with you as a sister would.
We have heard the words “Bishvili nivrah haolam”countless times, the problem with hearing it so many times is that it loses its value. Take a step back, and realize what that means, the world was created for you! So don’t let the thought leave you, the entire world is for you. Why in the world would Hashem create the world for you? What did you do to deserve it? Let’s understand.
You are greatness- when somebody does something great, they may get a gift in return. GD made the world a huge gift for us not because we did something great, but because we are great! Great people deserve great things. Now some of you may be thinking, there’s no way that the world was made for me, I did and did terrible things, I’m not worthy of such a gift. That my dear sisters, is false. In this world you will inevitably fail, because if you were perfect, you wouldn’t be here! So when you fail, which will for sure happen, keep in mind that that’s part of life, but what’s not a guaranteed part of life, is choosing to feel like a failure. Every time you fail, realize that you’re great and get up again and keep growing. One of the yetzer haras tactics is to make you feel like garbage, like you represent the failure that you just had. When you feel like you’re not great, you’re giving in to the yetzer HARA! So you may think, aren’t you supposed to have charata- to feel bad after you do an aveira? You have to know what charata is. Charata means that I’m so much greater and bigger than that failure/sin, therefore I don’t want to do it again, because a great person shouldn’t do that. (Not wanting to do it again, is the last step of teshuva- Kabbalah al Haasid) you may fail again in that same area even though you said that you didn’t want ,but like I wrote above, failing is part of life, and even if you do fail again in that same area, it will be different because it’s all part of the growing process.
Why are we so great?
There are billions and billions of people in this world, and yet, you were chosen to be the daughter of the Master of the entire world! GD chose you! You matter! Everything you do matters! The world was created for you- you’re a messenger of GD! You are so important! It’s a huge responsibility and privilege! Stop thinking that you aren’t worth something when you were chosen as the daughter of Hashem out of billions of people! You matter and you represent greatness so when you fail, get up again and realize that you’re bigger than that failure.
Failing is inevitable, however feeling like a failure is a choice, and a bad one.
There are different lessons that we can take from the way GD created the world that is meant for us.
GD created ohr and choshech- yes there will be hard nights and challenges but there’s ohr coming just stay strong.
GD created flowers- bloom where you are planted, whatever situation you’re put in, bloom and grow through it.
GD created the sun moon and stars- there are going to be sunny days- days of clarity, but sometimes it will be dark and unclear, but you can always find the moon’s light in dark times if you look hard enough.
GD created man, and the day after that, He gave us shabbos, a day when we shut off all distractions and spend time with ourselves and discover our greatness and we have a day with us and Hashem, and when we discover how amazing we are and what we’re worth, we can say HASHEM, I’m so happy You chose me, and I want to make You proud, because I’m greatness and I’m proud to call myself Your daughter.
So shabbos is how you finish your week and we can then understand that the world was really created for YOU!
To all my dear sisters in klal yisroel, keep up your amazing work and keep being yourselves, and make our Dad proud.
Have hatzlacha.
