Turning Point

The sun rays

gently pasted against

the side of my face.

It was a beautiful day.

The birds sang,

and I hummed along.

I was content,

and eager to start my day.

I excitedly prepared myself

for a day to be spent with friends.

There were a few mishaps

that came up along the way,

but for some reason,

I remained okay.

I even had fun.

At the end of the day

my mouth was sore

and my stomach ached

from all the laughs and smiles

from that beautiful day.

And then, I woke up. It was all a dream. A wonderful dream I had on that late night that was a turning point for me. A glimpse into a life I would soon have without ED by my side. I knew right then that I would survive. I would be okay. I just needed to catch the dream. And I did.
